(From savannahnow.com) Brunswick- Loggerhead sea turtles are in the midst of a record-breaking nesting season on Georgia beaches, state wildlife biologists said. Five species of sea turtle are found in waters off the Georgia coast: loggerhead, leatherback, green, hawksbill and Kemp”s ridley.Three nesting female loggerheads are among those found dead, apparently from trawler or boat collisions. In previous years, eight to 10 dead nesting females have been found dead annually.
