(From witn.com)- New Jersey”s wayward dolphins won”t be removed from two rivers near the New Jersey shore. That”s the word Friday from a federal wildlife agency that has been trying to decide what to do about a pod of bottlenose dolphins. They took a wrong turn in June and ended up in the Shrewsbury and Navesink rivers.
Two dolphins have died so far. Concern is growing among animal rescuers that the rest could die as well if they’re not removed. The leader of one rescue group says leaving the 12 remaining dolphins alone is tantamount to letting them all die.
