(From news.com.au) Tasmania- A lone minke whale calf stranded yesterday afternoon on a beach to Hobart”s east has not been sighted today, raising hopes the young female may have relocated her mother. “Our assumption, yesterday, was hopefully the mother was around and it would find the mother and go from there. If we don”t see the animal again then we”d like to assume the best but we”ll still keep a vigil and ask the public if they”re perhaps on the other side of Frederick Henry Bay to keep looking for the animal.”
