Phuket ‘bite’ frenzy spurs call for more protection against shark fishing

A leading marine life expert and official Adviser to the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources has called for more action to protect sharks from fishing and for people to not engage in “shark hating” following a tourist being bitten on the foot in Phuket earlier this week.
