(from CARE2 SSCS EUROPE SUPPORTERS GROUP) In the Republic of South Africa, the Cape Fur Seals are consider: ( res nullius ), meaning they have no owner, and therefore, they have no animal rights protection, as they are not considered Sentient Beings.
Along the eastern coastline of South Africa, around the tip of Africa, and up along the west coast of South Africa, Namibia and Angola, a range of over 4000 kilometres (Approximately 2,500 miles). One of the most productive fisheries exist, it is here also where Cape Fur Seals breed, for decades a war zone, has ranged between fishermen and these warm and loving creatures.

There will be no Ban on Import of Seal Products in Poland PDF Print E-mail

(from AGAINESS) Polish Ministry of Economy rejected the proposal for a ban on import of seal products; the Ministry is not interested in animals welfare or in cases which the country has nothing to do with, believes in Canadian propaganda and waits for EU decision. In Poland they are preparing an appeal against the Ministry decision. people from viva-poland want to meet with Minister of Economy (no some person from ME but with him) and Minister of Environmet to disscuss the ban.
