A Singaporean eye-witness who was having his meal at the restaurant, south of Johor, Malaysia, at that time wrote this account: "I was there having lunch with some friends at a seafood restaurant when a local walked in and told the boss that a big shark was caught. This is dsgusting - Are they not a protected species? What about the pollution and health lawas in Singapore - can these people not be prosecuted for HEALTH / ENVIRONMETAL breaches?

These beautiful creatures are under threat - more should be done to protect them. I would urge people to boycot such restaurants.

friend, this shark was accidentally trapped into the fish net,that fisherman was not intended to catch it..
that shark was dead on the spot when it get trapped. Fisherman forced to drag it to the shore to untie it. For the poor fisherman, a fish net is far more valuable than the shark. The villagers do not know the whale shark is an endangered species. While the person knew this was holding the camera and keep silence... They do the wrong thing bcos they don't know, but you know but u didn't stop them! u r the most sinful one! ...
You know i wish that the chinese government the whole area in general whould start to educate there people about the disstruction of the ocean's that they have no regard for including any speices,there is no future for living in the know,you cannot keep taking and expect that there is allway's going to be something coming back,it just can't happen.
